Release of Vision Document for Women & Children 2016

To improve the status of the women and children of the state,  Sri Tarun Gogoi, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Assam launched “ Vision Document for Women & Children 2016 “ on 12-06-2012 in a function at Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra, Guwahati. The ministers of state cabinet, M.L.A.s, Parliamentary Secretaries, Senior  Govt. Officials, Students and invited dignitaries attended the function. After lighting a lamp by the chief minister, Sri Jitesh Khosla, i/c Chief Secretary , Assam welcomed the gathering. Kumar Sanjay Krishna , Principal Secretary, P&D deptt in his presentation focused on the main points of the vision document.

A short documentary film on govt. welfare programme on  women & Children was shown in the function. The meeting was addressed among others by the ministers of H&FW, P&RD, Socialwelfare, PHE, L & Emp and P&D deptt, Assam ; all of them putting valuable suggestions and commitments for welfare of the weaker section of the society.  The students of Luit Konwar Rudra Baruah Guwahati Sangeet Mahavidyalaya presented a Bhupendra Sangeet in the function. After this the Chief Minister formally released the vision document and launched a web portal on it prepared by AMTRON, Guwahati.
